The Supervet awards heroic hounds at DogFest

Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, The Supervet will award some of his most courageous canine patients with Supervet Hero Awards at DogFest, which takes place at Loseley Park, Surrey this Sunday 21st June.

This very special award ceremony acknowledges some of the bravest dogs who have undergone treatment in the last twelve months at Surrey based specialist referral practice, Fitzpatrick Referrals. Several dogs were awarded this honour when DogFest went to Cheshire last Sunday, the 14th June, including Scruffy, pictured above.

Speaking of the awards, Noel said:

We wanted to hold The Supervet Hero Awards at DogFest to share with the world the amazing journey some of these wonderful dogs have gone on – each dog and their family have a unique tale to tell and their stories are nothing short of amazing. Each and every one of them prove to us that the animal friends we are lucky enough to share our lives with are worth fighting for. The bond of unconditional love that connects animals and people is forged from the greatest part of us and these dogs and their families show us this in every possible way

Among the heroes receiving awards at the event this weekend is Deerhound Willow, who visitors will recognise from the latest Supervet series. After colliding with a tree and severely fracturing her neck, Willow was rushed to Fitzpatrick Referrals in need of urgent care.

Following a long night of surgery and treatment, and with Willow’s loving family resting all their hopes on Noel to save her. Incredibly, Willow came through it all and Noel and the team were blown away by her progress and determination.

Willow will be joined by her family at DogFest this Sunday at 3:30pm in the Eukanuba Supervet Theatre to receive her award for such incredible bravery.

Other dogs to receive Supervet Hero Awards at DogFest this weekend include Golden Labrador Ira and Toy Poodles Diamond and Sweetie!
