The Supervet returns for two Summer Specials being filmed at DogFest!

Channel 4 has commissioned 2 Summer Special episodes of the hugely popular documentary series The Supervet from Blast! Films, which will be recorded at the upcoming annual DogFest outdoors dog festivals taking place at Arley Hall, Cheshire on Sunday 14th June and Loseley Park, Surrey, on Sunday 21st June.

Created and hosted by Channel 4’s Supervet, Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, DogFest is billed by its organisers as the “paw-fect day out for dog lovers” and promises an action-packed experience for owners and their dogs. It is expected that upwards of 10,000 people will visit each of the days accompanied by their pet pooches.

The Supervet Summer Specials will go behind-the-scenes at both events with cameras given unprecedented access to capture an array of dog-themed displays, expert advice and activities, including Supervet Live and The Great Dog Walk. Both episodes will also include brand new, heart-warming stories looking at the work of Fitzpatrick Referrals where Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and his team use cutting-edge treatments to heal pets with hard-to-cure ailments.

Professor Noel Fitzpatrick says:

DogFest is a very special event that will make for great television viewing too. When I first dreamt up the event I thought about what I would love to do if I was a dog for a day – I’d want to go for a nice walk, eat, have a snooze, jump up and see all of my friends being very silly and amazing and having fun, have a nice shampoo and a hair brush, lick people’s faces and be cuddled – and then do it all over again! That’s what DogFest is – it’s designed as the very best day on Earth if you are a dog!
