Loki

Loki

Excitable five-month-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Loki arrives at Fitzpatricks with mum Sam, suffering from a problem where the bones in his elbows don’t fit properly. Although it has been managed with medication to date, Sam is concerned that it’s getting worse and that as a result Loki’s mobility and quality of life are becoming seriously compromised.

Noel diagnoses radial head luxation, a congenital condition which has caused a deformity on both sides. He advocates a CT scan to establish whether or not anything can be done, but it would seem that the window for surgical intervention has already closed, and so Sam is faced with difficult decisions.
